Glory Road

School. I wake up, almost daily, dreading the thought of walking into the building I hate most, Layton High. The drama, the work, the simple task of just trying to keep my eyes open while being lectured by a teacher i've been listening to for one hundred and ninety eight days. Quite often, I get the sudden urge to stand up and walk out. Prance to my car, unlock to door, climb in, start my car, drive home. Turn off my car, get out, walk to my room, rip off my clothing, jump into bed, close my eyes and dream of the beauties of summer. No school, sleeping until it's time to go to bed again, eating snow cones and slurpees, swimming in water, Staying out until wee hours of the morning without the worry of being tired the next day, laughing until you cry (because it's so late in the night), hiking to the highest peak, galavanting around salt lake, skinny dipping in a lake of leeches, peeing everywhere (but the toilet), singing in a forest of trees, camping, working, spending money, working out, sleeping, sleeping, sleeping. I wish I was graduating. The End.

P.S. The world is lacking love and faith. People question the gospel, because they let themselves. They choose to agree with the world, instead of trusting in God. The world is scary, and they don't want to live with the fact that they will die a fiery death if they slip. They don't want to live by the "tough" rules, and instead choose to do what they want and then deny ever believing what, they still know, is right and true. Life is short; live fun, but live true. Do what is right, don't smoke weed, don't drink alcohol. Trust in God. Love one another. There is beauty all around...when there's love at home.

I love you.
